Visit to the Beaujoire Floral Park | Nantes
An unparalleled wonder for nature lovers
The creation of the Beaujoire Floral Park
Established in Nantes since the 1971 International Exhibition, the Beaujoire Floral Park is a magnificent green space located in the Beaujoire district. The site was transformed into a permanent park, providing residents with a place to relax and enjoy leisure activities free of charge all year round. The motivation behind its creation was to preserve part of the exhibition's heritage while offering a green space to the people of Nantes.
Since its inauguration, the Parc Floral de la Beaujoire has undergone continuous development, becoming a must-visit destination for family walks, picnics, outdoor activities and cultural events.
In 2009, it won the Garden of Excellence Award for its rose garden.
A paradise for visitors
Renowned for its winding paths through lush vegetation, the park also offers beautiful views of the Erdre River. Its shaded paths create a soothing atmosphere and invite visitors to stroll.
Its themed gardens showcase 15,000 rose bushes of various varieties, as well as a collection of magnolias, irises, heather and other floral species. Each flowerbed is an ode to beauty and botany, offering unique perspectives on nature. Educational workshops are also held to raise public awareness of biodiversity conservation.
For a family day out, facilities are available to visitors, including picnic areas, playgrounds and relaxation areas. In addition, the Parc Floral de la Beaujoire is a dynamic venue that hosts concerts, art exhibitions and shows to enhance the cultural life of Nantes.
