The creation of the Parc Floral de la Beaujoire

Located in Nantes since the 1971 International Exhibition, the Parc Floral de la Beaujoire is a magnificent green space in the Beaujoire district. The site has been transformed into a permanent park, providing local residents with a place to relax and enjoy themselves, free of charge all year round. The motivation behind its creation was to preserve part of the exhibition's heritage while providing a green space for the people of Nantes.

Since its inauguration, the Parc Floral de la Beaujoire has gone from strength to strength, becoming a key venue for family walks, picnics, outdoor activities and cultural events.

In 2009, it won the Garden of Excellence Award for its rose garden.

A paradise for visitors

Renowned for its winding paths through lush vegetation, the park also offers beautiful views over the River Erdre. Its shady walkways create a soothing atmosphere, inviting visitors to take a stroll.

Its themed gardens showcase 15,000 rose bushes of various varieties, as well as a collection of magnolias, irises, heathers and other floral species. Each flowerbed is an ode to beauty and botany, with unique perspectives on nature. Educational workshops are also held to raise public awareness of the importance of preserving biodiversity.
